Britannica International School Budapest celebrates yet another year of outstanding examination results

Britannica International School, Budapest an Ariston Education school, is celebrating the exceptional success of their students in this year's IGCSE examinations and A Level results. These outstanding results are a testament to the dedication, resilience, and hard work of the school´s students, results which have translated in prestigious entry for degree courses in some of the world´s leading universities.

Academic excellence in IGCSE

An impressive 49% of all grades awarded were 9 - 7, while 90% of the grades were 9 - 4. These are exceptional results and a real testament to the hard work, perseverance, and ambition of each individual behind every result. Other key results included:

• 100% of students achieved grades 9 - 4 in both English and Maths.

• Special Congratulations to student Layla A., who achieved the highest grade 9 in ALL of her subjects.

• Five students achieved grades 9 - 7 in all their subjects: Layla A; Andrei H; Hunor T; Tia A; and Qilin W.

• 62% of students achieved grades 9 - 4 in ALL their subjects.

• 13 subjects achieved at least 90% of grades 9 - 4.

• 9 subjects achieved 100% of grades 9 - 4.

Outstanding A Level results and University Entries

The results of Britannica’s Year 13 graduating Class of 2026 once again demonstrate how A Levels are the gold standard in post-16 education worldwide. This year's graduates achieved an impressive 37% of A* and A grades, well above the UK average of 28.5%, demonstrating the high academic standards and dedication that represent the Britannica International School Budapest community. Equally impressive is 62% of grades were B or higher, a remarkable accomplishment compared to the UK average of 55.8%.

This year´s results have enabled students to pursue an impressive range of academic pathways and professional aspirations ranging from aerospace engineering, data science, medicine, criminology, biomedical science and AV communications, reflecting the breadth of talent and ambition within this year’s graduating class. Britannica students have secured places on prestigious degree programmes at some of the world´s leading universities, including Cambridge University (UK), University College London (UK), Universidad de Navarra (Spain), The Hague University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), the University of Groningen (Netherlands), Universität Luzern (Switzerland), Sapienza Universita de Roma (Italy), California State University (USA), Trinity College Dublin (Ireland), and Eötvös Loránd University ( Hungary). Notably, this marks the third consecutive year that Britannica students have secured places at the Universities of Cambridge and/or Oxford, underscoring the school’s continued success in preparing students for admission to some of the world’s most prestigious institutions.
