Colegio Internacional Alminar celebrates Ariston Day with parents and families in Seville to mark joining a new international network of schools

Colegio Internacional Alminar yesterday celebrated Ariston Day with parents and families in Seville. This special day marked a new chapter alongside the school’s families and introduced Ariston Education, the international education group the school has just joined. Colegio Internacional Alminar, a private school in Seville with almost six decades of history, is now part of Ariston Education, a growing global network of premium K-12 schools and the creator of the AQ = EQ + IQ model for future-ready learning.

The day brought together families from every stage of the school, from Early Years to Bachillerato, on the school’s campus in Seville. Mike Farrer, CEO of Ariston Education EMEA, attended the event, which was led by Pilar Muñoz, Principal of Colegio Internacional Alminar, and the school’s leadership team.

Ariston Education now has two schools in Seville and six across Spain.

A legacy of excellence, now connected to the world

For almost 60 years, Colegio Internacional Alminar has educated generations of pupils from Early Years through Primary, Secondary and Bachillerato on the largest private school campus in the province of Seville: more than 30,000 m² of facilities, including a heated Olympic-size swimming pool, a sports hall, science laboratories and digital classrooms. Bilingual from an early age, with 50% English immersion and the option of taking the US Dual Diploma alongside the Spanish Bachillerato, the school has long combined academic rigour with an international outlook. Joining Ariston Education is the next step on that journey: access to a wider network of schools, international programmes and the development of new skills such as AI Fluency and Human Power Skills, while keeping its private, secular and independent character fully intact.

Ariston Education expands its presence in Seville and across Iberia

Colegio Internacional Alminar, located in Dos Hermanas with 444 pupils, is the second school in Seville to join the Ariston Education network, which also includes CBS, The British School of Seville, in Bollullos de la Mitación (Seville), with 300 pupils. The Ariston Education group now has a total of eight schools in Iberia: six in Spain and two in Portugal.

Looking to the future without losing its roots

Joining Ariston Education allows Colegio Internacional Alminar to continue developing its educational vision. The school will keep its essence while broadening the opportunities it offers its pupils and families.

Day-to-day life at the school continues as normal, and Pilar Muñoz Alarcón remains at the helm. The investment planned under a multi-year Value Creation Plan is already visible, with a new air-conditioning system and a renovated green area, and further campus improvements will be carried out this term.

Pilar Muñoz Alarcón, Principal of Colegio Internacional Alminar, said:

“We are delighted to join Ariston Education’s global network of schools and excited about the access this partnership gives us to expertise, skills, training and a truly international perspective. We look forward to developing our school together to offer a unique learning experience, introducing new curriculum content such as AI Fluency and Human Power Skills, which we believe are increasingly important.”

Mike Farrer, CEO of Ariston Education EMEA said:

“It was a pleasure to meet parents in person and explain how Ariston Education can add value to this fantastic school, making it even better through the additional opportunities our network offers.”
