Alminar International School joins Ariston Education global network of schools
7 Sep 2026
Colegio Internacional Alminar (Alminar International School), a private school in Seville with nearly six decades of history, today announced it has joined Ariston Education, a growing global network of premium K-12 schools and creator of the AQ = EQ + IQ framework for future-ready learning. Colegio Internacional Alminar becomes part of the Ariston Education family of schools — an international community united by a shared vision: to help every student discover their strengths, fulfil their potential and build a future with purpose and impact.
A Legacy of Excellence, Now Globally Connected
For nearly 60 years, Colegio Internacional Alminar has educated generations of students across Infantil, Primaria, Secundaria and Bachillerato on the largest private school campus in Sevilla province — more than 30,000 m² of grounds that include an Olympic-sized heated pool, a sports pavilion, science laboratories and digital classrooms. Bilingual from an early age, with 50% immersion in English and the option of a dual American High School Diploma alongside the Spanish Bachillerato, the school has long combined academic rigour with an international outlook. Joining Ariston Education is the next step in that trajectory: access to a wider network of schools, international programmes and additional skills development — including AI fluency and Human Power Skills — while the school's private, secular and independent character remains unchanged.
Continued Investment in Growth
As part of Ariston Education, Colegio Internacional Alminar will benefit from a dedicated, multi-year Value Creation Plan covering academic quality, facilities, operations and community life, alongside the wider network's investment in school improvement and shared services. The ambition is straightforward: to bring more resources, more expertise and more opportunity to the school's students, families and staff. Already a new aircon system has been put in place to counteract rising temperatures in Andalusia, and a new green space has been refurbished with additional campus improvements planned throughout this current term.
Business as Usual for Students, Families and Staff
Daily life at Colegio Internacional Alminar, its teaching and learning, and its school routines will continue as usual. Pilar Muñoz Alarcón continues as Directora, leading the school day to day exactly as before. For staff, there are no immediate changes; as the Ariston Education network grows, some roles and structures may evolve over time to support that growth — potentially bringing enhanced opportunities for professional development, career progression and investment in central support services. Everything that makes Colegio Internacional Alminar the school its community knows and trusts — its leadership, its teachers, its values and its identity — remains the same.
Brian Rogove, CEO of Ariston Education, said:
“Colegio Internacional Alminar is exactly the kind of school we set out to welcome into the Ariston Education family — nearly six decades of academic excellence, a genuinely international outlook, and one of the finest campuses in Andalusia. We're proud to support Pilar and her team as they build on that legacy, giving their students and staff access to a wider network, new resources and a framework that prepares future-ready students for a world shaped by AI and human ingenuity alike.”
Pilar Muñoz Alarcón, Principal of Colegio Internacional Alminar, said:
“We are really pleased to join the Ariston Education global network of schools, and are excited about the access to skills, competencies, training and a truly international outlook this partnership brings. We look forward to co-developing our school to provide a unique learning experience, embracing additional curriculum topics such as AI Fluency and Human Power Skills, which we feel are becoming of paramount importance.”
