Merited Alliance of Schools in Mexico joins Ariston Education global network of schools
19 Oct 2026
The Merited Alliance of Schools, a network of five schools serving more than 4,000 students across Estado de México, Tijuana and Veracruz, today announced it has joined Ariston Education, a growing international group of premium schools and creator of the AQ = EQ + IQ framework for future-ready learning. Merited becomes part of the Ariston Education family of schools — a community united by a shared vision: to help every pupil discover their talents, develop their full potential and build a future with meaning, purpose and impact.
A New Chapter, Same Identity
Each Merited school keeps its own name, its own leadership and its own community:
Colegio Reina Isabel in Tijuana, Baja California
Colegio Baden Powell in Atizapán de Zaragoza, State of Mexico
Anne Sullivan in Naucalpan, State of Mexico
Instituto Mexicano Americano (IMA) in Veracruz
Colegio Buena Tierra in Metepec, State of Mexico
The transformative relationships that define Merited remain at the heart of everything each school does: students growing with purpose, parents finding fulfilment watching their children succeed, and teachers and staff developing professionally while leaving a lasting impact. Daily life at each campus, the relationship between families and staff, and every child’s learning experience will continue to be nurtured with the same care.
Room to Growth and International collaboration
Joining Ariston Education brings the Merited schools into an international community of premium K–12 institutions, creating the opportunity to learn from other contexts, share experience, and invest further in the quality of each school. It also strengthens Merited’s own founding purpose: to see school owners and teachers alike find a deeper sense of meaning and lasting impact in the growth of the schools they serve.
As part of the Ariston Education network, Merited’s school communities will also gain access to Ariston’s international skills development programmes, including AI fluency and Human Power Skills, alongside further financial investment in the quality of each school. Ariston Education will develop alongside the schools a dedicated Value Creation plan focussed on improving the school facilities and the campus.
Business as Usual for Pupils and Families
This is a change Merited is making with its school communities, not simply for them. Families across all five schools will be able to learn more about this new phase — and about Ariston Education’s culture and approach — at upcoming school meetings, with further information sessions to follow at each campus in the coming weeks. Beyond these conversations, nothing about day-to-day life at any Merited school changes: the same leadership, the same teachers, and the same care for every pupil that has always defined these schools.
Brian Rogove, CEO of Ariston Education, said:
“Merited has built something special across its five schools — genuine communities rooted in trust between students, parents, teachers and school leaders. That is exactly the kind of alliance we want in the Ariston Education family. Our role now is to help each Merited school do more of what it already does brilliantly, while giving its students and teachers access to the international resources, programmes and skills development that come with being part of a larger network.”
Emilio Malpica, General Director of Merited, said:
“Merited was built on the belief that education creates value for everyone connected to it — students, families, teachers, school owners and investors alike. Joining Ariston Education is an extraordinary chapter for our alliance: it does not change who we are, it gives us the resources and the international network to do more of it, for more students, across every one of our schools.”
