Ariston Education, the global schools network committed to creating Pathways for Excellence for every student, today announced the launch of the world’s first Global Student Advisory Board (SAB) — one of first-of-its-kind global initiative that places the voices of young people directly at the table where decisions about their education are made. In a bold statement of its values, Ariston Education is inviting students aged 16 to 17 from across its international school network to advise the company’s Executive Committee on the issues that matter most to the next generation – from the future of work and higher education, to the hopes and concerns shaping young lives around the world today.

From Consumers to Contributors

The Global Student Advisory Board is rooted in one of Ariston Education’s most fundamental beliefs: that the best education is not something done to students, but something built with them. In launching this advisory board, Ariston Education is living its ‘future forward’ values by enabling its students to move from being consumers of education to active contributors to its direction – ensuring that the student perspective is not only heard but acted upon at the highest level of the organisation.

At a time when the world is changing faster than any previous generation has experienced, Ariston Education believes it is the students themselves who hold some of the most important insights about what education must deliver. The SAB is Ariston Education’s commitment to listen – and to act.

Brian Rogove, CEO of Ariston Education, said:

“We talk a great deal in education about preparing students for the future. But if we are serious about that, we must start by listening to them about what that future looks like from where they stand. The Global Student Advisory Board is our way of doing exactly that — bringing the student perspective into the room where decisions are made and ensuring that Ariston Education remains as responsive to the voices of young people as it is to the demands of the world they are entering. This is not a consultation exercise. It is a genuine partnership.”

How the Global Student Advisory Board Works

The Global Student Advisory Board has been designed to be both rigorous and accessible – a structured forum that treats student input with the seriousness it deserves, while remaining energising and meaningful for the young people involved.

The Global Student Advisory Board will convene around topics that matter at a global level – not school-specific issues, but the bigger questions facing young people, education systems, and the world of work. Suggested agenda themes include:

  • Ariston Education's vision and direction;

  • the realities of student life today, including key reflections, hopes and worries;

  • students' perspectives on the future of education, higher education, and the job market;

  • and the areas where Ariston Education can make the greatest difference to the lives of young people across its network.

Why Student Voice Matters More Than Ever

Research consistently shows that students who feel genuinely heard by their schools are more engaged, more motivated, and more likely to thrive – academically and personally. Yet student voice has too often remained a peripheral concern in how education groups are run and governed. Ariston’s Global Student Advisory Board changes that – embedding the student perspective not at the margins of the organisation, but at its centre.

In an era defined by rapid technological change, shifting career landscapes, and an urgent need for the human skills that AI cannot replicate, the insights of young people are not simply valuable – they are essential. Ariston Education’s SAB reflects a conviction that the most future-ready education organisations are those that build genuine dialogue with the generation they exist to serve.

What Comes Next

Applications for the inaugural cohort of the Ariston Global Student Advisory Board are now open to students in the penultimate year of secondary school (e.g., Grade 11 or its equivalent in their respective curricula) across the Ariston Education school network. The members of the 2026/27 Board will be announced during December with the first meeting of the Board scheduled for January 2027.
