Overview
Ariston International is a boarding program for international students dedicated to promoting a safe, nurturing environment for students who already have a strong basis with English proficiency and wish to study abroad. Ariston aims to tap into the full potential of each student by improving language proficiency, fostering academic success, and aiding in the acculturation process away from home.
The English Language Development programs are geared towards helping our students succeed in the classroom and beyond. Students are placed into weekend classes based on their language proficiency to allow them to build their speaking, writing, and reading skills at a pace that is suitable for their level. As their English skills improve, they will advance to more challenging curriculum and cover all aspects of the English language required by a native speaker. Furthermore, we offer supplemental classes for the TOEFL, SSAT, SAT I, and SAT II subject tests and assist in the college application process. By the time they graduate from our program, students will have gained the necessary skills to compete with their peers at the next stage of their academic careers.
The After-School Program (A/S) offers an opportunity to reinforce the lessons students have been taught at school in an environment conducive to the student’s needs. Students are given the opportunity to work out the problems on their own, but are also provided personal attention by our highly motivated and talented tutors to assist with their school work. The combination of independent learning and lecture based classes sustain a student’s cognitive skills and aptitude.
Academics are placed high on our list of priorities, however we understand that they are not the only factor paving the road to educational success. Students are encouraged to explore a number of extracurricular activities and are introduced to various sports teams, music ensembles, clubs, and volunteer opportunities that allow them to become active members of the community.
Our number one priority is your child’s safety and welfare while residing in America. Therefore students are supervised and cared for 24-hours a day. The chaperones and staff are available to advise your child with any issues they may face, such as problems at school, dealing with peer pressure, or even making friends in a foreign country. Furthermore, living with an unfamiliar group of students becomes an afterthought as we promote a sense of family in order to help students adjust to their new surroundings. Students are placed into “family groups” to build a rapport among their Ariston family and to encourage a sense of community. All this is done in an attempt to help the children adjust to life in America, allowing them to become more comfortable in their new setting and to develop the confidence they need in their new home away from home.
Ariston International strives to help families achieve their goals by offering services that go “Beyond Education.” Our objective is to help students mature into well-rounded, self-confident leaders by guiding them along the way, while allowing them to spread their own wings.
